Jeounghoon Yoo Senior Partner

Jeong Hoon Yoo is partner of LIWU Law Group (“LIWU”) and Managing Partner of JCP Co., Ltd. (Myanmar subsidary) and serves as the group lead for the ASEAN Practice Team of LIWU. As attorney at law in South Korea, his practice was developed through extensive experiences in litigation and financing for many years. After he took the lead to practice in Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar as the head and group lead of each branches, he has been regarded as a prominent foreign legal advisor among Korean and Japanese corporate clients who have business in those countries, especially in Myanmar.

His practice includes foreign direct investment, real estate development, and banking and financial institutions in South East Asia. The one of the main achievements is that he dealt with the first initial public offering (IPO) and listing on the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) for the Phnom Penh Water Supply, a state-owned company, and successfully wound up for the project in 2012.

Also, in 2012, he was relocated to Myanmar where he made the unique and remarkable record of opening the first branch office of a Korea-based law firm and being established as a leading foreign legal advisor and lawyer. Since then, he has endevoured to meet the needs of his clients and provided up-to-date legal advices on various sectors including hydropower plants, hotel construction, real estate development project, manufacturing, and banking and finance.
